Tis’ the season for designing showroom tables, it seems! I recently had the opportunity to design a fun and festive Fourth of July / summer holiday look for our friends at Bright Event Rentals. Their new showroom is fantastic!
My idea for this design was a fun riff on the Fourth of July holiday. It’s rare I get to really lean in on holiday decor. For this table, I imagined a fun brunch wedding on a grassy lawn. Pulling all of the items from Bright Event Rentals stock, the table came to life in no time!
Have you ever seen such vibrant X-back chairs? Bright really lives up to its name with their selections!
Details, details. I have a thing for a knotted napkin, and turning the knot into a full bow reminded me of bunting, specifically flag bunting like you’d see in a 4th of July parade.
I’ve spoken before of the challenges of designing a tablescape that will be on display for several weeks, if not months. Once again, we turn to faux florals. And this time, I did the arranging myself. I will not be moonlighting as a florist, lol!
I think we succeeded in creating an elegant yet casual 4th of July luncheon vibe! Always a fan of the overhead shot and this one is no exception. Love getting this birds-eye view!
When we decided to use the X-back chairs, I decided to double up on the table runners and set them in an X pattern. When I added the bow-shaped napkins (which kind of look like an X) to the mix, I flexed my favorite design principle: The Rule of Threes. Did you see the three X-shapes before I pointed them out? Bonus points to you if you did!
Thanks so much to the fabulous team at Bright Events Rentals for having me in as a Guest Designer. Michelle & Maeve made the day, well…Bright! pun intended.
Extra special thanks to Rachel Stelter Photography for all of these wonderful photos!
