Veronica & Kenny braved the elements for their beautiful Descanso Gardens wedding this April. What is it they say about rain on your wedding day? It’s good luck? Then Kenny & Veronica will have nothing but good luck for many years to come!
Veronica & Kenny spent the morning getting ready with their wedding party and hoping that the rain would let up.
Veronica & Kenny opted to have a First Look, as they wanted to use their cocktail hour for family photos. Despite the rain, they enjoyed an exuberant and intimate First Look, with just the two of them.
After their First Look, they had time for some portraits, both formal…
And some not-so-formal!
Veronica’s bright spring bouquet, designed by Truly Fancy, brought such lovely pops of color to the day.
The chuppah, (made by hand by Kenny from a tree he chopped down himself!) was supposed to be on the Main Lawn, but due to the rain, we re-located everything to Van de Kamp Hall. Uplights around the chuppah helped define the space and also made for a cozy (dry and warm) ambiance!
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a fabulous dinner by Patina Catering and an array of dessert options including an adorable candy bar and cupcake station.
In lieu of a traditional cake cutting, Veronica & Kenny served an assortment of delicious cupcakes to their guests!
The desert table looked gorgeous, courtesy of styling by Truly Fancy.
Veronica & Kenny danced the night away with their guests – DJ Lee of Hey Mister DJ kept the dance floor packed all night long!
Veronica & Kenny, I had such a wonderful time planning your wedding with you! Despite the rain, you had a gorgeous, fun, and heartfelt wedding day and I wish you all the best for years to come!
