I have been waiting to share this gorgeousness for SUCH a long time! Lucy & David starting working with Moxie Bright Events in May of 2015, and right away, I knew this was going to be a very special wedding. Lucy has such a refined sense of style, and she & David have such a strong connection and mutual respect for one another, this wedding was a dream! The LA River Center & Gardens was the perfect location for their romantic and heartfelt celebration.
The photo above is, without a doubt, one of my favorite wedding photos of all time. This is why you hire a pro to take your wedding photos – this moment right here! So much honest joy and a moment that can’t be recreated. Clarkie Photography simply slayed this wedding.
When designing the tablescape with Lucy, we decided to keep the focus on the flowers, food, and conversation, and not clutter up the table with tchotchkes. A pop of color in the glassware from Dish Wish was all we needed to elevate this table design to something special! Well, and the epic floral design of Of The Flowers, of course.
I love a bold bouquet, don’t you? Lucy is so statuesque, she can totally pull off a huge bouquet. It’s important to keep things proportional. (That’s a pro tip, from me to you. lol)
Every time I plan a wedding in Los Angeles for East Coast clients, I know one thing is always true: They will party well into the night! Lucy & David, with the help of Red Shoe, had a PACKED dance floor going until 1am. My East Coast peeps know how to party!

Lucy & David, Your wedding will remain one for the books, always! You are both such wonderful souls. Thank you for trusting me on your wedding planning journey. It was an honor for me to be a small part of your grand love story. Getting to know your mom and Tony made me feel like I was part of the family too! I wish you all the best for a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure! And photo booths…always!

First of all-Props to the east coast folks (HOLLA AT YOUR GIRL!) Secondly, what a beautiful capture of love and excitement! I’m so happy they decided not to clutter up the tables with stuff, I think that’s one of the biggest mistakes when people are planning a wedding!
I LOVE that they decided to focus their tables on food and conversation. It seems that so often the sole focus is on grand elaborate centerpieces and not on the guests themselves having a good time. Love love love this.
This is stunning! I love how well the centerpieces pair with the beautiful Dish Wish glassware. You had a dream team of vendors on your side, too which is always a plus. Beautifully done, Renee!
That tablescape is perfect! Definitely not too cluttered and keeping the floral arrangements low makes it SO much easier for guests to talk to each other. Love that this couple partied nice and late. Wish more LA venues stayed open later!
That ceremony photo is one for the books! I love how you paired the colorful glassware with a blue linen that’s subtle enough to almost be a neutral. And her bouquet is totally killer!
