On a lovely September day, Eunice & Damien tied the knot at the beautiful Hinoki & the Bird. A Hinoki & the Bird wedding is a unique experience, as you have the whole restaurant to yourself for the day, and paired with their delicious Asian-fusion menu, you have a wedding that is anything but traditional. Eunice & Damien had a truly lovely wedding day!
Eunice started her day at Mr. C’s Beverly Hills, getting ready with her girls. Major #squadgoals for their all-white fashion. All of the girls looked amazing, especially Eunice in her Vera Wang gown!
All of Eunice’s details were SO on point.
These gorgeous earrings…
These Prada pumps…
And completing the fashion, her gorgeous engagement ring, and bracelet…
After the “getting ready” portion of the morning, Koman Photography captured awesome wedding party photos. Both sides of the wedding party just absolutely slayed it, fashion-wise. Classic, elegant, and on point. Florals by Pavan Floral.
Immediately following group photos, Damien & Eunice enjoyed a private First Look, just the two of them.
Soon after, they headed to the venue to get the ceremony started!
From their ceremony: “A wedding celebration is a ritual celebrated by humankind the world over. And ritual, as any anthropologist would point out, is the language of myth. Myths, rights, and rituals have served the purpose of explaining to us, humankind, in some meaningful way, our place and time in the universe. Myths and rituals continue to do this despite the fact that science teaches us we live in a cosmos that has no definitive space or time. Rituals, like this wedding ceremony, serve society in helping us separate the sacred from the profane, and have enabled the consecration of space and time.
By ritualizing and celebration your union and bonding, we are consecrating this location today as we bring you forth, Damien and Eunice, from the old to the new. We are celebrating your move from the primordial relation between man and woman to one of husband and wife. Your union now brings to life the timeless expectations of generations past and hopes for the future.”
The room was ready to welcome guests for dinner, but first, a few of the wonderful details.
The Bride & Groom were honored by toasts from their nearest and dearest, while everyone enjoyed the truly delicious dinner.
Hinoki Scented Black Cod, dashi, shishito, cucumber
After dinner, DeBois Entertainment got the party started with Eunice & Damien’s first dance,”Wouldn’t It Be Nice?” by The Beach Boys.
During dancing, guests were treated to an amazing naked cake by Sweet Lady Jane. It was as amazing as it was beautiful!
Eunice & Damien, it was such a pleasure to assist you on your wedding day. Your entire day was just overflowing with joy and ease. I’ve never seen a more calm bride before the ceremony. I am so glad that you were able to have the fun, relaxed wedding day you imagined! Best wishes for a lifetime full of love and laughter!
